NEW MEDIEVAL WALLS OF DUBLIN AUDIO GUIDE

A NEW AUDIO PRODUCT AND CONCEPT FOR DUBLIN CITY TOURISM

In Hand Guides Ltd. will launch a new concept to promote city tourism - a hand held audio guide to the Medieval Quarter of Dublin, which will be launched on Thursday 28 June 2007 at 6.00pm at Dublinia, St Michael's Hill, beside Christ Church cathedral in Dublin. The guide - credit card size - is a self-player with built in speaker and comes with a map, information card and a wrist strap. The guide offers a 20 minute 5 track audio tour tracing the Medieval Walls of Dublin explaining the history of the area from foundation to more modern times. The guide also provides the visitor with information on surrounding attractions. The front of the player displays a visual of a St. Audeon's Arch.

The player with merchandising support package is designed for sale at visitor outlets and in particular at reception/concierge points in hotels.The initial language will be English, with additional language versions planned for the future seasons. 6,000 units will be launched for sale during the coming months. The target retail price will be similiar to a CD (18-19e) and includes a coupon package which will offset the cost. Value of coupons 50e approx. The coupons offer the visitor reductions on entry to attractions in this part of Dublin, as referenced on the player.

The player is chaptered so the user can replay any track in its entirety or in part. It includes music and sounds related to the attractions - this adds to the experience. The tracks link with the map and information card.The guide saves time and money and serves as a souvenir and memory from a visit to the Medieval Quarter of Dublin.
